Ready for your session? Some Do’s and some Don’ts.

We’ve worked with a lot of clients over the years and we’ve put together this quick list of Do’s and Don’ts to help you plan your session. Enjoy!

Health

DO – Try to avoid or minimize makeup for the shoot, we get it, you may not want to go totally makeup free but we’ll be doing a full makeover so give your skin some time to rest before you arrive.

DO – Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate! Drink plenty of water prior to the shoot to ensure your skin is looking at it’s best. If you have not tried them we love Bai flavored water drinks!

DO – Make sure to eat a light meal before the shoot. You’ll feel more comfortable if you stick to something light and simple.

DO – Avoid alcohol the night before (a couple of days is good). You’ll be amazed at the difference it can make in the images.

Clothing

DO – Wearing clothing with a looser fit to the session is number one on the list! Comfort is the key word here with t-shirts and jogging pants being high on the recommended list. Nothing that will leave a mark is key!

DON’T – Avoid trying to squeeze into those skinny jeans for your session. Tight clothes have a tendency to leave red marks and you’ll want to look your best all over so avoid anything constricting before the shoot.

DO – Bring any accessories you want to have, favorite jewelry pieces or anything personal. Even hats and glasses. Impact pieces are always fun!

DO – Try to score your outfits. Let us know the outfits you adore and those that you maybe not quite so sure about. It’s good to have choices and we’ll help with your selection but the items you love will definitely be featured.

DO – Make sure to bring your sexiest shoes! Rocking the heels in your images adds drama. You are not going to be walking anywhere so be daring! You can always slip into sneakers to come to the appointment.

Attitude

DON’T – Be afraid to push your boundaries just a little. We’ll always respect your wishes but while you are here why not try something just a little more daring – Don’t leave saying “I wish I’d tried X, Y or Z”

DO – Enjoy your time with us. Don’t be afraid to let us know if you need anything during the shoot. This is your time!

AND –  THE MOST IMPORTANT “DO” OF ALL!!!

DO – Book your appointment now. Don’t delay, you’re going to love your session experience and you’ll love the memories when you look at your beautiful albums or artwork in the years to come. As almost all of our clients say, “I wish I’d done it sooner!”
